Terms of use

1. What HeadFlow is
HeadFlow is a research prototype that lets you record migraine attacks and (optionally) share a structured summary with a clinician. It is provided to you for your personal use and is currently being trialled with a small number of patients and headache specialists.
2. What HeadFlow is NOT
- Not a medical device.
- Not a diagnostic tool. It does not diagnose any condition.
- Not a treatment recommendation. It does not tell you which medication to take, when to take it, or how much.
- Not NHS-approved and not a substitute for clinical advice.
- Not an emergency service. If you are in crisis, call 999 or NHS 111.
The clinical-impressions narrative shown on your dashboard is a deterministic summary of what you have logged. It does NOT use generative AI, it does NOT diagnose, and it carries a non-dismissible disclaimer to that effect.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use HeadFlow. By creating an account you confirm you meet this requirement.
4. Your account
- You are responsible for the email account or SSO identity you sign in with.
- Do not share your sign-in link or session with others. Each magic-link is single-use and expires after one hour.
- Notify us at hello@headflow.co.uk if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
5. Your data
We process your data as set out in the privacy notice. You retain all rights in the data you record. By recording an attack you grant us permission to store it, present it back to you, and (if you choose to share with a clinician) display it to that clinician within the time window you authorise.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload data about anyone other than yourself;
- attempt to access another user's account or records;
- attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service;
- use the service for unlawful purposes.
7. Changes and availability
As a research prototype, the service may be updated, paused, or withdrawn at any time. We aim to give 30 days' notice before any planned discontinuation. Material changes to functionality or these terms will be communicated to your registered email.
8. Liability
HeadFlow is provided "as is" without warranty. We accept no liability for any decision you take, or do not take, on the basis of information presented within HeadFlow. Always consult your clinician for medical advice.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence).
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be heard by the courts of England and Wales.
